Steve Smith once claimed of the ‘weird stuff’ he does while batting in test cricket, and him leaving the ball is one of the funniest things fans have witnessed. In the past, Ishant Sharma had imitated Smith’s animated batting stance and recently it was fellow Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah who did the same.
Jasprit Bumrah Enacts Smith’s Batting
It so happened during the ongoing third test match at Sydney that Jasprit Bumrah, while returning to his bowling follow through mocked Steve Smith’s batting stance. The act saw Bumrah funnily shrug off his shoulders while walking back, and engaged in a laugh with teammate Mohammad Siraj.

Steve Smith’s Steady Century
Steve Smith finally found form at the right time. Going through a lean patch in the ongoing series against India, Smith scored a fighting century on Day two. His knock held the Australian innings which otherwise seemed to have faltered after the momentum they had gained on Day one. In the company of Manus Labuschagne (91), Smith added a century stand and held forte even as wickets fell around him. Smith was the last batsman out when he was dismissed by a direct hit from Ravindra Jadeja. Smith scored 131 as Australia folded on 338 in their first innings.

After the loss of Manus Labuschagne on Day two, India held back the Australian run flow and picked wickets at regular intervals. Ravindra Jadeja the architect of India’s fightback with four wickets that included the also the prized scalps of Manus Labuschagne and Steve Smith (run out via direct hit).Â
