Legends of cricket are back to action as the Road Safety World Series has returned. The legends cricket tournament is going to resume in 2021 from where it was stopped last year. In 2020, the organizers had postponed the event amid the pandemic. However, now things are under control in the country and cricket can be played. Legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag will make a return through this cricket tournament in 2021.
The t20 series will resume on 5 March. Initially, it was a 5-team tournament, but this year two new teams England legends and Bangladesh Legends have been included. On the other hand, Australia Legends have withdrawn from the series. So now it will be a 6-team tournament. A total of 12 matches to be played during the group stage following which 4 teams will qualify for the semi-finals.
Legends Cricket Tournament 2021 Schedule and Venue
Mumbai was the first choice of venue for the legends tournament. However, an increasing number of Covid-19 cases made the organizers change their plans. Now, Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur, Chhattisgarh will host all the rest 15 matches of the Legends Cricket Tournament 2021. Half of the stadium stands to be filled with spectators during the matches.

The squads of all 6 teams include retired cricket legends from 6 nations. Sachin Tendulkar will captain India Legends while England, West Indies, Sri Lanka, South Africa and Bangladesh to captain by Kevin Pietersen, Brian Lara, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Jonty Rhodes and Mohammad Rafique respectively.

Viacom 18 has owned the TV rights of the series. Viewers can watch the live telecast of Legends cricket tournament on Colors Cineplex channel and Rishtey Cineplex channels. The live streaming will be available on the Voot app. The broadcast is also available in Kannada commentary on Colors Kannada Cinema.
All the 15 matches can be watched on the Jio TV app as well. It’s worth mentioning that Radio Mirchi (98.3 FM) is the official partner of the Road Safety World Series. Fans can tune in to the Radio platform for Hindi commentary.
