The El Clasico of the World Test Championship is going to be a grand affair as this is going to be the first time ever in the history of Test cricket where something like this is going to happen. The fans are closely monitoring everything and there is an interesting piece of news for them as ICC gives an important update on the rules for World Test Championship final.

The World Test Championship Final will be played in Southampton, England and will commence on 18th June. ICC World Test Championship started on 1st August 2019 with the first Test of the Ashes series. All the Test-playing nations battled it out on the field against each other for the top spot and eventually, it was India and New Zealand that ended on 1st and 2nd position respectively. While India played a total of 6 series, winning 12 matches out of 17, New Zealand played 5 series and won 7 of their 11 matches.

As much as the fans want their respective team to win, what happens if the match ends in a draw or a tie? This is the question that must be on everyone’s mind before the big day. The million-dollar question has now been answered as ICC gives an important update about the same. ICC has issued a statement in which they have clarified everything related to the big final which will be taking place from 18th-22 June.

Apart from the 5 match days, the sixth day is also going to come into play if any match time is lost due to weather conditions. 23rd June will be considered as the sixth day in case any playtime is lost due to any reason.
