Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave a steady start to the team, however, they both got dismissed in quick succession after a free-flowing partnership of 62. Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara tried to steady the ship, but Pujara fell victim to Trent Boult’s inswinger. Amidst all the action, Rohit Sharma was seen watching the match with the help of binoculars which made for an amusing act.

Rohit Sharma got out at the score of 34 off Kyle Jamieson as he tried to push an outside delivery without moving his feet much. As Rohit Sharma sat in the dressing room, he used binoculars to watch the live-action. Sharma’s act even made the Indian skipper Virat Kohli laugh. The captain was seen smiling on the field after seeing Rohit Sharma.
As for the match, it is evenly poised at the moment with India on 146 at the loss of 3 wickets. The Indian team would be looking to build upon the current score and get to 300. It would be interesting to see the approach on the third day from Kohli and Rahane as so far, they have been very cautious.
