The 5th Edition of TNPL kicked off on July 19 after a significant delay due to the Covid situation in the country. After getting sanctioned by the state government, the season started on Monday with LYCA KOVAI KINGS v SALEM SPARTANS as the season opener though it got abandoned due to rain. Hence, the season is yet to see a complete match. In this article, you will be informed about the TNPL 2021 Schedule & Live Telecast in India.
There are a total of 28 matches that are to be played in the League Stage of the tournament. The league stage goes on for a period of 21 days from the 19th of July to the 8th of August. All these matches will be played in the MA. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. The playoffs will be played from 10th to 15th August with the Final to be played on 15th.
There will be no audience allowed in the stadium but people can enjoy the Live Telecast of the TNPL 2021 from the comfort of their homes.
Eight teams that will take part in the tournament are – iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans (formerly Karaikudi Kaalai), Chepauk Super Gillies, Siechem Madurai Panthers (formerly Madurai Super Giant), Dindigul Dragons, Salem Spartans (formerly Tuti Patriots), VB Kanchi Veerans (formerly VB Thiruvallur Veerans), Trichy Warriors (formerly Ruby Kanchi Warriors), Lyca Kovai Kings.
TNPL Live Telecast Channels in India
The Star Sports TV network has the broadcasting rights of the TNPL 2021 Live telecast in India. The leading Indian Broadcaster will telecast all the games of TNPL 2021, live, on two of its channels. The broadcast will only be in two languages, namely, Tamil and English.
However, people can stream the TNPL 2021 matches online as well. Star’s streaming application named Disney+Hotstar will also provide the Live Telecast of TNPL 2021.
