The ongoing 2nd test match between India and England is perfectly poised as the Englishmen have taken a lead of 27 runs from India’s first innings total of 364 runs. After not an ideal start to the innings, Rory Burns and Captain Joe Root stabled the innings and brought England back into the game. Though Rory Burns got out nearing his half-century, Root continued batting flawlessly. Root and Bairstow were then involved in a handsome partnership. Root went on to score big and remained not out on a personal score of 180 runs. Keeping aside Root’s brilliant batting performance, there were some weird incidents that happened on Day 3 of Lord’s Test in India vs England 2021 Test series.
Bizarre incidents in India vs England 2021 Lord’s Test
A couple of bizarre incidents happened on Day 3 of the Lord’s test which could easily be termed as ‘the funniest’ and ‘the worst’ moments of India vs England 2021 test series respectively. When the Indian Team was coming to take the field after lunch on Day 3, a man was spotted in the field with the Indian players. He was seen wearing the Indian Team’s Cricket Jersey with ‘Jarvo’ printed on the jersey. The security personnel then rushed into the ground to take the invader out. When the invader was asked to leave the field, he pointed towards his jersey and acted as if he was one of the Indian players.
This was hilarious for the spectators on the ground and the commentators as well. “Some random chap in whites had made his way into the middle with the Indian players. And he stood there as if he was about to take part in the Test match.” former England batsman Michael Atherton was heard saying on Sky Sports.

The Indian Players were also in splits. Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj couldn’t stop laughing after the invader pointed towards his jersey. Finally, the security guards took the invader off the ground. This easily would go on to be remembered as the funniest moment of India vs England 2021 Test series.

Other than the ‘Jarvo’ episode, another incident happened on the field on Day 3 which was rather shameful for Cricket. The English Fans were seen throwing the corks of their beer bottles onto KL Rahul, who was fielding on the boundary. This would probably be remembered as the worst moment of India vs England 2021 Test series. The Indians understandably were not happy with the treatment and the Indian Captain was seen signalling Rahul to throw the crowd’s stuff back to it.
