After the loss against Pakistan, Virat Kohli’s men are sweating it out in the nets. Captain Kohli himself was seen practicing hard in the nets on Wednesday. While he was playing his shots during the practice session, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan were watching him play closely. Kohli’s shots left both the players in awe as it could be seen from their facial expressions.

Virat Kohli is one of the modern-day greats when it comes to batting and the Indian team would agree the most to it. Having played numerous match-winning innings for India throughout various formats, Kohli has set the bar for himself, which he doesn’t let down during the practice sessions as well. In one of his net sessions on Wednesday he was seen smacking the ball all around with match-like intensity.

Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan who were spectating his shots were in complete awe as Kohli was playing the shots effortlessly. It was one after the other that Kohli was hitting the ball with the middle of the bat. Both Iyer and Kishan were appreciating every single shot which Kohli was playing as every shot was equally glorious.

Shreyas Iyer is one of the reserve players for India in the T20 World 2021. Ishan Kishan, on the other hand, is in the 15-member squad but is yet to play his first match in the World Cup.

Indian Team will face New Zealand next

The humiliating loss against Pakistan has put India in a ‘do or die’ situation already. Losing another match in the Super 12 stage might cost Kohli’s men their chance of qualifying for the semis. The match against New Zealand is therefore a virtual knock-out match. Both the teams will face each other on the 31st of October. The match is equally important for Kiwis as they too have lost against Pakistan. Talking about the Group 2 standings- Pakistan is at the top with 2 wins in 2 games.
