The former-Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has been in the news recently as he announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. After the announcement, the Indian bowling legend has been shocking everyone with his controversial comments. He first criticised the BCCI for poor treatment of the senior players and now the spinner has pointed his gun at MS Dhoni as he blames the former captain for not saving his career.
MS Dhoni is a decorated captain of the Indian team who has all the ICC trophies in his kitty. Many senior players played under his captaincy and Harbhajan Singh was one of them. The Turbanator in his interview with Dainik Jagran said that the bowler was completely overlooked by the board after he was dropped from the team in 2016. This comment came immediately after he retired from the sport and now Harbhajan attacks MS Dhoni.
Harbhajan Singh blames MS Dhoni for not saving his career
In an interview with a private new channel, Harbhajan Singh claimed that his place in the team was not given a thought even though he was an experienced campaigner and had taken 400 wickets for the team. He further added that he was not given any reason as to what led to his removal from the team. He also hinted at the possibility that someone from inside the team had a problem with him.
Harbhajan added that he was really upset with the decision of dropping him and tried to get answers from the then captain MS Dhoni who didn’t reply to the bowler. “I tried to ask the captain why, but I wasn’t given a reason. I realised there is no point in me asking for the reason for this treatment, and who is behind it because if you keep asking and no one replies, then it’s better to leave it,” Harbhajan said.

The comments by the ex-Indian bowler have surely raised quite a few eyebrows and the fans have mixed reactions to Harbhajan’s accusations. While some are supporting the off-spinner, others opine against him. There has been no response from either BCCI or Dhoni regarding the accusations so far, but Harbhajan is surely hogging the limelight for his controversial comments.
