India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is turning everything he touches into gold. It was not long ago that Jadeja was recovering from an injury but since his recent comeback, the cricketer has been pulling off outstanding performances regularly.
The ongoing Test match between India and Sri Lanka was no different as Jadeja again brought his Midas touch to the fore. The 33-year-old put on a scintillating show with the bat in the first innings, dismantling the opposition to pieces. Jadeja played an unbeaten 175-run knock as India declared for 574/8.
The left-arm spinner then displayed his A-game with the ball and ended up taking a fifer versus clueless Sri Lankan batters. With this, Jadeja became the sixth cricketer with a 150-plus score and a five-wicket haul in a Test match, joining Vinoo Mankad, Denis Atkinson, Polly Umrigar, Gary Sobers and Mushtaq Mohammad in the elite list.
As Ravindra Jadeja achieved the remarkable feat, his another dream was fulfilled. In an interview with ESPNcricinfo, the southpaw had once revealed that he aims to claim a five-for and a score a ton in the same innings.

Talking about the Test match, India is on the cusp of an easy victory as the Islanders have surrendered to the spin duo of Jadeja and Ashwin.

Day 3 of the Test match again belonged to the hosts as after bowling out Sri Lanka for 174 runs, India enforced a follow-on. Dimuth Karunaratne and Co could not do much even in the second innings as Indian spinners pushed them down to the mat.
The score currently reads 131/7 as Sri Lanka is still 269 runs behind India’s first innings total.
