Gujarat Titans clinched a nail-biting victory against the in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 40th match of the Indian Premier League. Marco Jansen was given the responsibility by SRH captain Kane Williamson to defend 22 runs in the last over of the match, but the bowler succumbed into pressure. SRH’s spin-bowling coach didn’t look impressed at all and Muttiah Muralitharan’s angry reaction has now gone viral on the internet.

In one of the most thrilling encounters of the 15th edition of the IPL, Gujarat Titans trumped the Hyderabad team after winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a very competitive total of 195 in their 20 overs; courtesy Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram’s half-centuries. The bowlers were up to the task as well until the final over of the match, where Marco Jansen leaked 25 runs, handing Gujarat Titans a famous victory. SRH spin-bowling coach looked displeased with the bowler’s plan and Muttiah Muralitharan’s angry reaction was caught on camera.

The last over of Gujarat inning turned out to be an absolute treat for the fans as Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan snatched the victory out of SRH’s jaws. 22 runs in the last over was always going to be a tough ask, but the duo of Tewatia and Rashid had other plans. Tewatia hit the first delivery of the over for a maximum and followed it with a single. It was then Rashid Khan, who did the magic with his willow and won the match for Gujarat with 3 sixes in 4 balls.

Gujarat needed 9 runs off the last two balls and the penultimate delivery was a low wide full toss by Jansen, which made SRH’s spin-bowling coach lose his cool and Muttiah Muralitharan’s angry reaction was caught on the camera. With the victory, Gujarat Titans have now got 14 points in 8 matches and are leading the points table.
