The 45th clash of the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is currently being played between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Delhi Capitals is chasing a huge target of 196 and are in tough situation at the moment. During their inning, Mitchell Marsh suffers a brain fade moment where the batsman didn’t take DRS even after he was clearly not-out.
Mitchell Marsh’s decision of not taking DRS turns out a howler
Delhi Capitals have had a see-saw tournament so far and they have only won 4 matches so far and lost the same number of matches which has put them in a tight spot. On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have already gained 12 points and are looking all set to enter the playoffs. In the ongoing clash, Mitchell Marsh suffers a brain fade moment and lost his wicket, despite being totally safe.
The incident came in the 8th over of the Delhi Capitals inning when the Australian batting all-rounder was all set on 37 runs. LSG skipper KL Rahul brought in Krishnappa Gowtham and he claimed the wicket of the batsman on the very first ball as Mitchell Marsh suffers a brain fade moment. Gowtham bowled a fast and flat delivery, to which Marsh had a big slash. The umpire gave the batsman out but the UltraEdge later showed no spike in the replay.

Mitchell Marsh was looking really good and his wicket definitely hurt the Delhi Capitals. The Delhi team needs this win desperately so they can keep their chances of making it to playoffs alive. On the other hand, LSG would want to consolidate their position on the points table and get a step closer to the playoffs.
