The 69th Match of the Indian Premier League 2022 saw Chennai Super Kings losing yet again as they played for their pride in their last league game. The yellow camp gave a below-par target to Rajasthan Royals who were playing to seal the second spot on the points table. CSK bowlers dominated for the most part of the game; however, R Ashwin with his all-round heroics won the game for his team.
R Ashwin contributed with both bat and ball
R Ashwin was the stand-out player for the Rajasthan Royals as he contributed in both the departments and shined as the most valuable player in an all-important match. The spin wizard was elated and pumped up while he was batting and his reaction during the game has been doing the rounds on the internet. The all-rounder reacted to his animated celebration in the post-match presentation.
The RR all-rounder R Ashwin picked up a crucial wicket of an in-form Devon Conway in the first inning and the second inning saw even better of the cricketer. Rajasthan Royals struggled during their chase and the likes of Buttler, Samson, Hetmyer were all back in the pavilion. Thereafter, Ashwin took it upon himself to win the game for his team and he did it with flying colours.
R Ashwin did an animated celebration after he hit a boundary which got his team within touching distance of a victory. The celebration came on the second delivery of the last over when Matheesha Pathirana was bowling to Ashwin. The bowler bowled a full-length ball which the batsman sliced and earned a boundary. Ashwin was seen pumping his chest and his animated celebration has gone viral.

In the post-match presentation, R Ashwin hilariously reacted to his animated celebration and said that he brought out the David Warner inside him. The spin wizard has emerged as an excellent all-round option for Rajasthan Royals, who are going to play Qualifier 1 against Gujarat Titans who are on the 1st position on the table. Qualifier 1 will take place in Eden Gardens, Kolkata on 24th May.
