The extraordinary and splendid spinner  Ravichandran Ashwin revealed the scary and terrifying incident which occurred on the flight during their Australia tour back in 2020/2021. It was a memorable series in which India established itself as one of the best Test teams in history by defeating the hosts on their home turf 2-1 to inscribe their names in heritage. The Indian team was travelling from Melbourne to Sydney for the New Year’s Test when their aircraft was hit by a thunderstorm, making their journey unpleasant. During the launch event of Voot Select’s up and coming documentary ‘Bandon Mein Tha Dum,’ Ashwin remarked on his flashbacks from the trip and stated how terrifying the ride was for him and the team.

“We were flying to Sydney and the flight encountered a thunderstorm. It was so scary that for a moment, I thought that the flight would never land,” Ashwin recollected at the trailer launch of the series. After landing in Australia successfully, Ashwin had even tweeted about the incident as he had written: “Yours Turbulently, Melbourne to Sydney! #ouch #scary.”

A documentary based on India’s win over Australia in the 2020/21 Test series is set to release soon

Bandon Mein Tha Dum, directed by excellent director Neeraj Pandey, is centred on India’s resounding victory over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. It draws out the thoughts and feelings of the Indian players as they talk about starting the series at 36 all out and then astonishingly concluding it with a division title.

After the hosts managed to win the first Test of the series and passed the visitors a humiliating defeat, India gave it they’re all to win the second game, and the third game in Sydney was completed in a draw. India won the final Test match, which was vital for both teams, at Gabba in Brisbane, as team players and members commemorated every minute of the victory.

It was an intense experience for the Indian team because several key players had been badly hurt and were unable to play. However, India found two key architects in Mohammad Siraj and Rishabh Pant, whose contributions with the ball and bat, respectively, helped India win. India intends to play their next scheduled Test match against England in Birmingham which commences on June 1.
