Team India trumped England in the second consecutive T20I to take an unassailable lead in the 3-match T20I series. The Indian team gave back-to-back clinical performances in the T20I series and won the series with quite ease eventually. The Indian bowlers were at their lethal best in the second game as well, however, the video of an incident where Rishabh Pant asks Rohit to hit the bowler has now gone viral.
Rishabh Pant asks Rohit to hit the bowler
The Indian team was invited to bat first after Jos Buttler won the toss. The Indian openers got the team to a flying start however the team faltered and they were reduced to 89 for 5 in just 11 overs. There was an interesting opening combination as Rishabh Pant walked in to bat with the skipper Rohit Sharma. While both the batsmen were batting, Rishabh Pant asks Rohit to hit the bowler who comes in his way, but the reply by Rohit is winning hearts.
The incident where Rishabh Pant asks Rohit to hit the bowler came in the very first over of the match when Pant took a risky single to open his account as an opener. David Willey bowled a full delivery outside off and Pant played it with soft hands. Immediately after hitting the ball, the batsman ran off for a quick single which could have ended his inning, had the ball hit the stumps.

After the single was taken, Pant was heard complaining of the bowler coming in his way to Rohit Sharma. The southpaw told his skipper to hit the bowler who came in his way but Rohit replied to it very calmly saying, “Obviously, why not”. Both the openers were engaged in a 49-run partnership which helped India to get a great start.
Though the Indian team lost a flurry of wickets in the middle overs, they were able to get to 170 which proved to be too stiff for the English team. The Indian bowlers restricted England to 121, winning the match by 49 runs. The third match of the series will be played today in Nottingham where team India will enter the field to complete a clean-sweep.
