Pakistan cricket fans finally have some good news landing on their ears as a top test team like England has officially agreed for a tour of Pakistan for three test matches.
The terrorist attack on Sri Lankan Cricket Team on March 3, 2009, resulted in six Sri Lanka cricketers getting injured as six Pakistani policemen and 2 civilians had lost their lives in a shooting that took place near the infamous Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Ever since that horrific incident, teams of stature –NZ, Australia, India, and England, etc– had decided to not tour Pakistan and put their safety first.
Nonetheless, slowly and steadily, international cricket is coming back to Pakistan.
England to tour Pakistan for the first time after 17 years
Following the footsteps of other teams, the England Cricket Board has agreed to allow its players to tour Pakistan.
The last time Pakistan hosted England for a home Test Series (or any series) was 17 long years ago, in 2005-06.
The 3 Test match series back then was won 2-0 by Pakistan and Inzamam-ul-Haq (431 runs) had top-scored and won the Man of The Series award.
Starting from December 1, 2022, England is scheduled for a 3-match-long tour of Pakistan as they host a home test series against Stokes and his side.
It's happening!

The first two tests will be held at Rawalpindi and Multan between December 1-5 and December 9-13 respectively. Karachi Stadium is scheduled to host the 3rd and last test (17-21 December) between the sides.
Interestingly, James Anderson, 40, is the only player that remains an internationally active cricketer since the last England tour of Pakistan.
The Three Lions are certainly going to look and blow away Babar and his men by their newfound BazBall approach to take some revenge for their 2005-06 series loss.
Pakistan Cricket Team, on the other hand, is gonna try their best to win the series and give the PAK fans something to cheer for as a big international team finally plays competitive cricket in their nation.
