The Indian Women cricket team made history when they completed a clean-sweep against England in their own backyard in the 3-match ODI series which ended dramatically on Saturday. The way the England inning ended in the third ODI has once again has the internet and the cricketers divided. However, there is another incident which has taken place in London which may divert the attention of everyone. In a shocking turn of events, Indian wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia was robbed at London Hotel.

The debate on ‘mankad’ has been reignited after Indian bowler Deepti Sharma affected a run-out while she was going to bowl a delivery. It so happened that the last wicket partnership between Charlotte Dean and Freya Davies became a headache for the Indian bowlers and interestingly, Deepti Sharma run Dean out just before she was going to deliver the ball. The incident got the cricketers talking and they expressed their opinions on the internet.
Shockingly, there is one more incident that has happened involving Indian wicketkeeper Taniya Bhatia which has become the talk of the town. In a series of tweets, Taniya Bhatia shared that she was robbed at Marriot Hotel London where someone stole all her valuables including bag with cash, cards, watches and jewellery. The wicketkeeper lashed out at the hotel management for such a blunder on their part.
Expressing her anger, Taniya Bhatia wrote on Twitter, “Shocked and disappointed at Marriot Hotel London Maida Vale management; someone walked into my personal room and stole my bag with cash, cards, watches and jewellery during my recent stay as a part of Indian Women’s Cricket team. @MarriottBonvoy @Marriott. So unsafe.”

In her second tweet, Taniya Bhatia demanded an investigation and also tagged England Cricket Board to look into the matter seriously. The Indian Women team have been in the news lately after they won the third ODI, where the spinner Deepti Sharma got the last English batter out at the non-striker’s end. The incident had the cricketers divided and the ICC rule has come under the scanner yet again.
