Indian Team Selectors have announced replacements for the ruled-out players for the T20I series against South Africa beginning from September 28.
Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will work on their rehabilitation and injury management in NCA before the T20 World Cup in Australia.
All-rounder Deepak Hooda too has been ruled out of the T20 series due to a back injury and will look after the injury in NCA so as to get fit before the T20 World Cup.
On the other hand, Mohammed Shami hasn’t fully recovered yet after been tested positive for COVID-19 and wasn’t available for the selection.
Umesh Yadav, Shreyas Iyer and Shahbaz Ahmed added to India’s squad
The selectors have added Umesh Yadav, Shreyas Iyer and Shahbaz Ahmed for the upcoming Mastercard South Africa Tour of India.
While Umesh Yadav was part of the squad in the recently concluded series against Australia, Iyer has got a national call after couple of months as he was dropped considering his recent failures against the short ball.

Umesh got his opportunity in the first T20 game against Australia where he got couple of wickets while Iyer did well in the Duleep Trophy final.
Bengal all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed, who got his maiden India call-up for ODI series against Zimbabwe in August has been recalled considering his all round abilities.
All other members of the T20 World Cup squad will feature in this series starting from September 28 in Thiruvananthapuram.

Rohit Sharma (Captain), KL Rahul (vice-captain), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Dinesh Karthik (wicket-keeper), R. Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Arshdeep Singh, Harshal Patel, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Shahbaz Ahmed.
