Australia Opener David Warner might be seen captaining the national side once again as Cricket Australia is considering lifting Warner’s captaincy ban.
As per a report, the Cricket Australia directors are considering rewriting the organization’s code of ethics which will allow Warner to get the leadership responsibilities of the national side.

David Warner cannot be handed over the captaincy as per the current rules of Cricket Australia.
The aggressive opener was found involved in the ill-famed 2018 ball-tampering scandal along with the then captain, Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft.
The Australian players were caught live on camera using sandpaper to tamper with the ball in the 3rd test against South Africa.
“CA’s code would need to be rewritten before Warner’s ban could be reviewed, and a rewrite is something directors will discuss at Friday’s board meeting in Hobart,” a report in the Australian Associated Press said.
CA chairman Lachlan Henderson said,” The view within Cricket Australia is that David is doing particularly well on the field and making a great contribution off the field.”
“The first step in terms of David’s leadership ban is to review the code and see if those sanctions are able to be reviewed, and the appropriate revisions to that code that would need to be made,” he added.
Australia’s ODI captain post is vacant as Aaron Finch announced his retirement last month while he continues to be the captain in the shortest format.
The Australian team needs an aggressive captain, especially considering the ODI World Cup next year in the subcontinent and Warner is the front-runner for the post.
