Team India on October 23 managed to beat Pakistan in a close matchup thanks largely to the duo of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya.
There were really huge expectations from the iconic clash and believe it or not, both sides left no stone unturned to exceed them. The match went right down the wire and a result could only be obtained on the last ball.
Hardik Pandya sobs in the post-match interview, remembering his late father
Baroda-born Hardik was seen shedding ears in an after-match interview with Jatin Sapru and former all-rounder Irfan Pathan, crediting his father for where he is now.
Hardik sobbed his heart out, remembering his beloved father. He talked about the sacrifices his late father made and how he agreed to shift the city to allow Hardik Pandya and Krunal to pursue cricket.
The flamboyant cricketer struggled to word his sentences and perhaps wanted his father to be there to see this moment.
Here’s the full video of Hardik talking about his late father:

Notably, it was the return of the King (82* off 54) and the all-around brilliance of Hardik Pandya (40 runs and 3 wickets) that allowed India to get a miraculous last-ball triumph against Pakistan.

Pakistan had lost both Babar and Rizwan in the first 4 overs but spirited fifties from Ifthikar Ahmed and Shan Masood were taking them to safe shores.
However, after Ifthikar fell Hardik Pandya came and broke the game open– cleaning up Shadab Khan, Nawaz, and Haider in the space of 2 overs.
During India’s batting, Hardik joined Kohli in a precarious situation with India reeling at 31 for 4 and playing his shots early on to give Kohli some time.
He fell for a 37-ball-40 and then Virat Kohli took over the aggressor’s role, smoking 82* off just 54 balls including 6 fours and 4 maximums.
