Superstar Indian batsman Virat Kohli is the best limited-overs batt of the present era despite lacking the power game that a lot of other batters have. The reason for that is Kohli’s insane ability to turn 0s into 1s, 1s into 2s, and 2s into threes without breaking a sweat. However, during the 2022 T20 WC match vs Zimbabwe, Virat Kohli was caught struggling for breath after stealing a quick double.
In the ongoing 2022 T20 WC, Virat has been at the heart of the Indian batting lineup. He has scored 246 runs off 5 innings at a stupendous average of 123 runs per dismissal and has 3 fifties to his name, including arguably his greatest T20 international knock of all time– 82* off 54 against Pakistan.
He played a small but crucial 26-run knock for the Men in Blue vs ZIM, lending KL Rahul good support after skipper Rohit Sharma’s early dismissal.
Fans worry for Kohli after the incident vs Zimbabwe
Kohli turned the ball to square leg and set off for a quick double like he often does. However, upon rushing the 2nd, he ran took a long pause and started to rub his chest multiple times. It appeared as if the Delhi-born had run out of breath after completing the run.

Cricket fans have been worried for the premier batsman after the incident though these weren’t signs of serious trouble. Notably, Virat Kohli turned 34 a day before (November 5) the game vs Zimbabwe was held and is only getting older with every passing match.
Former India opener Sunil Manohar Gavaskar was on-air at the time the event occurred and quashed any doubts over the wellness of King Kohli.
Gavaskar quoted: “He (Kohli) is such a quick runner between the wickets, always looking for the extra run. You could see that the moment he played it, he knew where the fielder was, and knew the power that he had (played the shot with). So, the 2nd was always going to be on. Just giving himself a little bit of a breather”.
