Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are currently the two biggest superstars of Indian cricket team.
Indian media constantly comes up with the Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma debate and keeps questioning if there’s a sour relationship between Rohit and Virat.
Ravi Shastri’s bold reply on Virat Kohli vs Rohit Sharma debate
Team India’s former head coach has remained really close with the Indian team in the past few years. During his tenure as a head coach, Shastri had faced some questions about the relationship between Virat and Rohit and was asked about the same by veteran cricket journalist Vimal Kumar in New Zealand to which Ravi Shastri came up with a strong reply.
“It’s all crap. Wo sab tum log ke liye time pass hai. We don’t have time for all those things. The tuning is so well, and everything going first-class. They are making 100-run partnerships on the pitch and tum log udhar bahar khichdi banate jaa rahe ho (you guys are making a mess outside). I don’t have any time for all these things,” Shastri told Vimal Kumar in an interview on his YouTube channel.
It’s worth noting that there’s a constant Twitter rivalry going on between supporters of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Recently, a news got viral on social media according to which, a Kohli fan murdered a Rohit fan in Tamil Nadu when a discussion between the two got heated over who the better player was between Rohit and Virat.
Journalists have regularly come up with such questions and have even directly asked Rohit and Virat about the rift and both of them have rubbished the talks whenever asked. Both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have regularly supported each other in tough phases and evidently celebrate each other’s success.
Ravi Shastri served as the head coach of Team India from July 2017 to October 2021 and was the director of cricket in 2014-15 for a period of eight months. He has remained close to both Virat and Rohit and gets huge respect from both of them. Shastri’s bold statement can now put a full stop on all the rumors being circulated on media at least for some time.
