The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to organise IPL 2023 Auction on December 23.
Some big international stars have registered themselves for the auction but there’s also a 15-year-old player from Afghanistan who has registered himself for the IPL 2023 Auction.
Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar : Youngest Player Ever to register in IPL Auction
The IPL auction is all set to take place on December 23 in Kochi and while there are some big match-winning players like Ben Stokes and Kane Williamson part of this mega auction, Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar from Afghanistan might grab all the headlines.
Ghazanfar hails from Paktia province in Afghanistan and has registered himself at a base prize of 20 Lakh. The young Afghanistan spinner had also put his name for the Big Bash League auctions, but couldn’t find any buyers and will now look forward to get some bid in the cash-rich Indian Premier League.
Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar plays for Mis Ainak Knights led by former Afghanistan captain Asghar Afghan after showing some brilliant performance in the local Under-16 cricket. He had also got rid of Afghanistan batter Samiullah Shinwari during a Shpageeza Cricket League game.
“I started with tennis ball cricket and would play in my neighborhood, but under the guidance of my coach, I started bowling spin, and soon, I developed an action, and there hasn’t been any looking back since,” Ghazanfar told Sportstar.
The young spinner has a bowling style quite similar to that of Mujeeb Zadran who has already got great success globally while he gets inspiration from Indian stalwart Ravichandran Ashwin. “Ashwin has been a champion spinner for India, and I like his variations. I have always considered him my inspiration,” Ghazanfar told Sportstar in the recent interview.
