In absence of Jasprit Bumrah and Shami, Siraj is currently paying as the front-line pacer of India. The 28-year old pacer has fared well so far as he managed to take 3 wickets today. In the ongoing Test vs Bangladesh, India put 404 runs on the board and Siraj provided a fantastic start while bowling as he sent opener Shanto back to the pavilion on the very first ball. Mohammed Siraj, Virat Kohli had the last laugh after sledging with Litton Das
The incident happened during the 14th over of the innings. Das who was looking in good touch from the first delivery he faced was irked with Mohammed Siraj as the pacer seemed to exchange few words on his follow-through. Litton Das was not impressed and was gesturing ‘What did you say?’. Umpire had to interfere before things go worse.
However, the sledging did its work as Litton Das lost concentration and was castled by Mohammed Siraj on the very next ball. Siraj had the last laugh as he gave a send-off to the Bangladesh batter by showing him ‘silence’ gesture. Virat Kohli too joined the banter as he was seen mimicking Litton Das’s hand-in-ear gesture. Siraj too followed Virat Kohli with the same gesture. Here’s the video of the incident.
