The Indian skipper never misses a chance to entertain his fan on the field and off the field. After India defeated New Zealand in the 3rd ODI at Indore to clean-sweep the Kiwis Rohit Sharma was asked to attend a press conference.
A journalist asked Rohit Sharma why the Indian team didn’t play Rajat Patidar in the 3rd ODI considering it was his home ground. The Indian captain gave the journalist a befitting reply which made everyone in the room laugh.

Rohit Sharma logically replied to the journalist who asked about Patidar’s possible debut at home ground. Hitman gave a very reasonable reply by saying that there is no room in the current Indian team. He also added, “Virat plays at 3, at 4 Ishan Kishan, at 5 Suryakumar Yadav, and at 6 Hardik Pandya”.
He also referred to the last series where Ishan didn’t get a chance to play even after scoring a double ton. Rohit also added by saying “Everyone in the world knows what Surya is doing these days so removing him is a crime”.

The Captain in the end gave a witty reply to the same journalist. He said, “Yes, it’s understandable that we should have played Rajat at his home ground but if we do so, In Ranchi Ishan will also say play me in my home ground”.
The captain wanted the journalist to understand that India wants to play everyone but there’s no room in the current Indian team.

India seal the series 3-0 against New Zealand
