Karachi Kings took on Multan Sultans in a nail-biting thriller on February 22 in the Pakistan Super League. Legendary Pakistan pacer Wasim Akram who’s the president of Karachi Kings franchise lost his cool and kicked chairs in the dressing room after his side failed to chase the target of 197 set by Multan Sultans.

Karachi Kings have lost 4 out of their first 5 games in this season of Pakistan Super League and are placed at the fourth position on the points table. More importantly, 3 out of their 4 losses have come in the last over which has added to the frustration of their team management.
Wasim Akram, president of the Karachi Kings team, looked quite frustrated after their loss against the Multan Sultans. The legendary pacer couldn’t hold on to his emotions as he was seen kicking the chairs kept in front of him in the dressing room as Karachi Kings failed to chase the target.
Karachi Kings’ skipper Imad Wasim faced the last delivery of the innings but couldn’t clear the fence when five runs were needed off the last ball. Imad Wasim too looked disappointed and frustrated after their fourth loss in this edition of PSL.

Karachi Kings needed 22 runs in the last over which was bowled by pacer Abbas Afridi. Afridi certainly felt the pressure of the situation as he bowled a above waist height full toss which was departed for a maximum by Imad Wasim. Ben Cutting too joined the party and cleared the fence on the second delivery of Afridi’s over.
The pair of Imad and Cutting brought down the target to six runs off four deliveries putting their team in the driver’s seat. However, things changed pretty quickly as Abbas Afridi dismissed Ben Cutting on the fourth delivery.
The Karachi franchise needed a maximum on the last delivery but their skipper couldn’t do so after which Wasim Akram lost his cool. Videos of Akram’s outburst went viral across social media platforms as it was a rare sight for cricket fans to see the legendary Pakistan pacer failing to control his emotions.
Things have become quite tough for the Karachi Kings team after losing four games in this PSL season. On the other hand, this was Multan Sultans’ fourth victory as they are placed at the top of the points table with 8 points.
