Mumbai Indians took on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2023 game on April 18 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. In the game against SRH, Mumbai Indians’ pacer Jason Behrendorff lost his calm as Rahul Tripathi pulled out at the last moment just when the pacer was about to deliver.
Sunrisers Hyderabad didn’t get a great start as they lost their opening batter, Harry Brook after he had just scored 9 runs. Rahul Tripathi came in to bat at the number 3 position as SRH were expecting him to anchor the innings along with Mayank Agarwal.
Rahul Tripathi moves away at the last second leaves Behrendorff irritated
Jason Behrendorff got rid off in-form Harry Brook on the fourth delivery of the second over as Rahul Tripathi came in to bat. The SRH batter took his guard and was getting ready to bat. Just when he looked up, he saw the left-arm pacer steaming in.
Tripathi knew he wasn’t ready to face the ball and decided to pull out at the last moment. Behrendorff got really annoyed with the batter moving away just when he was about to deliver the ball and his gestures clearly showed how upset he was with the SRH batter.

Rahul Tripathi knew it was his mistake and he quickly apologised for the same after which the MI pacer went back to his bowling mark. The left-arm pacer bowled the fourth over of the SRH innings as well in which he dismissed Rahul Tripathi after he had scored just 7 runs.
Mumbai Indians had posted a mammoth total of 192-5 in their 20 overs courtesy of a brilliant knock by Cameron Green. The Australian all-rounder scored 64 runs off just 40 deliveries while Tilak Verma chipped in with a quick-fire 37 off just 17 deliveries.
In response to the massive total posted by Mumbai Indians, SRH innings get the kind of momentum they were looking for in the power play overs. They lost the wickets of Harry Brook and Tripathi after which Mayank Agarwal played a slowish knock of 48 runs off 41 deliveries.
Wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen looked to bring the SRH side back into the game as he played a brilliant knock of 36 runs off just 16 deliveries. Despite Klaasen’s efforts, the Sunrisers Hyderabad side fell short by 14 runs as they didn’t get much contribution from other batters and allowed the Mumbai Indians’ bowling lineup to dominate.
