Team India’s star batter Virat Kohli failed to deliver with the bat in the all-important WTC 2023 final after which he faced heavy criticism from cricket fans. Kohli then posted a cryptic Instagram story featuring Mark Manson which garnered all sorts of attention from the netizens and got viral on social media.
The Men in Blue were in a spot of bother when Virat came in to bat in the first innings on Day 2 of the WTC 2023 final. They had lost both openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill in quick succession after which the cricket fans were expecting Kohli to score some vital runs.

The star batter was dismissed after scoring just 14 runs off 30 deliveries as Mitchell Starc bowled an exceptional bouncer and Steve Smith took a pretty simple catch at slips. As Virat took the long walk back to the pavilion, cricket fans were stunned as they knew Team India were in some serious trouble after his early dismissal.
Many cricket fans criticised the star batter after he failed to score big in the marquee game. Some of them even pointed out that he didn’t show the same intensity he was showing for his IPL side RCB during the recently concluded IPL 2023.
Kohli was then seen having a casual conversation with Gill and Kishan and enjoying his meal right after his dismissal for which he faced backlash on social media. After getting all sorts of criticism, Virat took to Instagram and posted a cryptic story on June 9.

While cricket fans were already disappointed with Virat Kohli’s failure with the bat and his rather casual attitude in the dressing room, they were left stunned after reading the cryptic Instagram story posted by him. The story got all sorts of attention and quickly went viral on social media.
After Kohli’s dismissal, it was Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja who anchored the Indian innings while no batters from the top order could score much. At the end of Day 2 of the WTC 2023 final, the Indian Team were placed at a score of 151-5 trailing behind Australia’s total by 318 runs.
