After the wait of four years, Global T20 Canada is back with a bang, with marquee players like Chris Gayle, Harbhajan Singh, and Shakib Al Hasan named in the draft. The third edition will kick off on 20th July in Brampton Sports Park Facility. Here is GT20 Canada 2023 Schedule, Teams Squad and Schedule.

Six teams will take part in the tournament and the names of the teams are as follows Montreal Tigers, Toronto Nationals, Surrey Jaguars, Missisuanga Panthers, Brampton Wolves and Vancouver Knights.

Teams are yet to announce their captain who will lead their pack, However, coaches of the teams have already been finalized.

Teams declare their coach for the GT20, Shane Bond to take charge of the Wolves

The last season’s champion teams coach Lalchand Rajput will coach the Surrey Jaguars. His capability of choosing the right eleven has really impressed the franchise but somehow Surrey managed to get him.

On the other hand, the Tigers have managed to pull off the 1996 ODI World Cup-winning coach Dav Whatmore.

Mississuaga Panthers will be instructed by Lance Kluesner and Toronto Nationals by Aqib Javed. While Vancouver Knights have sticked to Donovan Miller who made them lift the maiden trophy of GT20 Canada.

Since its inaugural season, a lot of T20 legends have taken part in this mega event. South African veteran Faf Du Plessis, Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and West Indies powerhouse Chris Gayle all have played in the league.

Vancouver Knights

The Pakistani players have also decided to play in the North American league. Current wicketkeeper Batsman of Pakistan Mohammad Rizwan will be gearing up for Vancouver Knights along with South African Rassie Van der Dussen and Naveen Ul Haq from Afghanistan.

Brampton Wolves

Talking about the Wolves they too have a formidable side as they have players like Harbhajan Singh, Mark Chapman and Colin De Grandhome.

Surrey Jaguars

The Jaguars have a strong formidable batting line up consisting of Alex Hales, Mohammad Haris, and Iftikhar Ahmed.

Mississauga Panthers

The universe boss Chris Gayle will be featuring in the Panthers squad along with Azam Khan, Shoaib Malik and Jimmy Neesham.

Montreal Tigers

Andre Russel will bring the West Indian flare along with Bangladeshi Veteran Shakib Al Hasan in Tigers squad.

The Kiwi left-hander Colin Munro will feature with Shahid Afridi on the Nationals side.
