The long-time cold war between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir has got a new catalyst in Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad. The former Pakistani cricketer has given a Bold statement where he is said ‘Gambhir should apologize to Kohli’ on the LSG vs RCB heated clash.
The IPL 2023 saw some high-voltage games resulting in some ugly fights as well, the LSG vs RCB game was one of them. Initially the fight begin when Mohammad Siraj was sledging LSG bowler Naveen Ul Haq who was batting at the crease.
Out of nowhere Virat Kohli jump into the matter and started encouraging Siraj to bowl bouncer targeting Naveen’s head. The young Afghan pacer didn’t like it and said something to the stand-in RCB skipper which he couldn’t take gracefully.
Virat Kohli started showing some inappropriate gestures to the youngster comparing him to the dust of his boots. The umpires standing there remained tight-lipped and didn’t do anything to stop Virat over there.
The incident triggered LSG coach Gautam Gambhir who already had some differences with Kohli in the past. During the post-match ceremony, Gambhir spotted Kohli and said “Stay away from my boys”.
On the other hand, LSG skipper KL Rahul who was trying to make Naveen apologize to Kohli was ignored by the fast bowler. The incident caught a lot of attention on social media and still some people are giving their views on it.

The player said “It was really sad to see such an episode. I can understand that Kohli had a fight with the player from Afghanistan (Naveen-ul-Haq) because such things happen in the heat of the moment. But I did not understand why Gautam Gambhir showed such gestures towards the biggest player of his own country, Kohli,”
It is very clearly evident the neighboring country is enjoying the fight between countrymen. It is not the first time when Pakistani players have given their views on any Indian player’s controversy as we have seen Amir and Afridi said things similar to what Shehzad said.
However, the 2011, and 2007 World Cup winner is always ready to give a befitting reply to the players outside of his country and the time is not far away when he will reply Shehzad as well.
