The former Indian left-handed all-rounder, Suresh Raina has launched a new restaurant in Amsterdam and named it ‘Raina Culinary Treasures’. The 36-year-old also recalled an incident of the time when he got handed his debut Indian cap and Yuvi teased him. ‘How God of Cricket is not your favourite?’ Yuvraj Singh mocked young Suresh Raina.
The new restaurant of Raina is his first ever and sooner or later he might even want to expand his business in India like the way Virat Kohli’s ONE8 franchise. The main objective of Raina’s new business is to bring the most authentic flavors to Europe straight from India.

‘Raina Culinary Treasure’ have all Indian chefs who have an excellent hand in cooking Indian dishes. In Raina’s latest Instagram post, he posted a picture of himself cooking in the restaurant as the player loves cooking.

In 2005 when Suresh Raina made his international debut he got handed his first cap from Rahul Dravid. In Cricket, there is a rule that every new joiner has to give a speech before receiving the cap. While Raina was going through his speech part Yuvraj Singh interrupted him and asked who is his favorite player.
The player replied Rahul Dravid is my favorite player and I have posters of him on my wall. Meanwhile, Yuvraj wanted to tease the newcomer so he cross-questioned Raina by saying ‘The God of Cricket and the world’s best batter is standing here, and he is not your favourite?’.
The southpaw then clarified that I admire Sachin sir as well but Rahul Bhai is my role model. He revealed that after that incident I felt very calm and since then I got an integral part of the team.
Cricket World congratulates Raina on his new restaurant
The southpaw has received loads of wishes on Instagram after he posted a picture of his newly opened eating house. Players like Virat Kohli, Harbhajan Singh, Kuldeep Yadav Deepak Chahar, and Dwayne Bravo congratulated their former teammate on his new beginning.
All the players have promised to visit the restaurant when they’ll be in Amsterdam.

Suresh Raina decided to open his business in the Netherlands capital city as he has a special connection with the city. His wife Priyanka used to work there when they were unmarried so Raina used to visit the place very often.
