Men in Blue are currently in the Caribbean region touring West Indies for a 2 match Test series, 3-match ODI series and 5-match T-20 series, having a lead of 1-0 in the Test series. Ahead of the second Test match, during an interview Indian captain Rohit Sharma gave a witty reply when asked about what he would gift the young debutant on his birthday, Rohit then turned towards Ishan and asked “Kya birthday gift chahiye bhai tereko? [What birthday gift do you want?]”
Wicket-Keeper batsman Ishan Kishan made his Test debut during the first of the two test matches, he was not able to contribute much with the bat but his funny comments from behind the wicket were something to laugh about and his wicket-keeping videos got viral on social media. The second Test match will begin on July 20, at Port of Spain in Trinidad.
Indian captain was asked what he would gift Ishan on his birthday to which in a witty way he replied. “Kya birthday gift chahiye bhai tereko? Sab toh hai. I will have to ask the team, it will be a team contribution. Birthday gift tu humko de bhai 100 run karke”

Ishan Kishan has shown what he is capable of and the captain also back’s him as he said.
“Sometime back, he scored a double hundred in one-day cricket. He has the game and the talent, which we have to bring out. He needs opportunities, is a left-handed batter who likes to play aggressive cricket. I’ve had a clear conversation with him on how I want him to play. We’ve given him freedom as well to express himself,” The Indian captain said.

Men in Blue easily won the first rest match with the batting contribution of the top order as well as Ashwin’s brilliance. Ashwin took 12 wickets in the match on the other hand debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a ton on his test debut.
