The 11th season of the Caribbean Premier League is all set to begin with a bang. Like every other season of CPL, 6 teams will participate in the season while only one of them gets to lift the trophy. The first six games of the tournament will be played at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. Here is the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium Pitch Report for CPL 2023 matches.

The tournament will begin on the 16th of August with the game at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia between the home side Saint Lucia Kings and the defending champions Jamaica Tallahwas. The tournament will wrap up on the 25th of September with the final game after a three-match playoff stage.

The Saint Lucia Kings will enjoy the advantage in their first 4 games. The caravan of the CPL 2023 will move to St Kitts after the first 6 games. The tournament will be played at 5 different venues in which the finals will be played at the Providence Stadium, Guyana.

Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium Pitch Report

The pitch at St Lucia is very helpful for the bowlers with the old ball, especially the spinners. Batsmen find it difficult to take on the spin bowlers on this turf however fast bowlers do concede a lot of runs.

Batters need to watch for the ball in the initial phase of their innings to make big runs. The toss winners should opt to bowl first at this wicket as it is a wicket that becomes better as the game progresses.

The score anywhere near 170 can be considered to be a fighting total at this wicket.
