Sri Lankan Legendary cricketer Kumar Sangakara had an illustrious career, he has represented Sri Lanka in 134 Tests, 404 ODIs and 56 T20 matches, meanwhile, he scored 12400, 14234, 1382 runs in his career respectively. And then Sangakara had taken retirement from T20I cricket in April 2014 and from ODI cricket on 18 March 2015. On 27 June 2015, Sangakkara officially announced his retirement from Test cricket as well.
Now after few years of his retirement, Kumar Sangakara has come up with his all-time playing XI. Surprisingly, the former Sri Lankan Cricketer included only one cricketer from India in his all-time 11. However, it’s his personal thinking and choice but he has surprised every Indian fan with his pick. In his playing XI, he has chosen four Australian players, three Sri Lankan, and one each from India, Pakistan and South Africa.
Meanwhile, Sangakara has excluded the name of all time legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is known as God of Cricket. Kumar Sangakara has opted hard-hitting batsman Matthew Hayden along with Indian legendary cricketer Rahul Dravid for the opening slot. And in the middle order, he picked Brian Lara, Ricky Ponting and Arvinda de Silva. For the all-rounder, his pick was South African Jacques Kallis and for the role of the wicket-keeping Adam Gilchrist.
In the bowling department, Australian Shane Warne, Sri Lankan Muttiah Muralitharan, Pakistani Washi Akram and Sri Lankan Chaminda Vaas. Here is the list of Sangakara’s all-time XI team.
