Shoaib Malik became the talk of the town as he announced his third marriage. On January 20, the Pakistani cricketer shared wedding pictures with his new wife, actress Sana Javed. While many poured in their wishes for the couple, others were left shocked, as it marked the end of his 13-year-long marriage with Sania Mirza. Rumors of a separation between Shoaib and Sania had been circulating since last year, and now they have proven to be true.

Shoaib Malik becomes the first Asian to score 13000 T20 Runs

41-year-old Shoaib Malik has been out of Pakistan since November 2021, however, he is pretty much active in Cricket as he plays various T20 leagues. Malik is currently playing for the Fortune Barishal team in Bangladesh Premier League. During the match against Rangpur Riders on January 20, he achieved a huge milestone.

During the match, Shoaib Malik made history by becoming the first-ever Asian player to reach the 13,000-run mark in T20 Cricket. He is only the second player, after Chris Gayle, to achieve this milestone. Currently, Gayle holds the record for the highest number of runs in T20 Cricket with an impressive 14,562 runs.

Surprisingly, despite scoring 13000 runs, Shoaib Malik has not scored a single century in his 487 innings in T20 Cricket, one of the reasons is he bats down the order. His highest score in T20 Cricket is an unbeaten 95. In contrast, Chris Gayle has scored a record 22 centuries in 455 T20 innings.

With 12,454 runs, Kieron Pollard secures the 3rd position on the list, while Virat Kohli follows closely in the 4th position with 11,994 runs. The former Indian captain is just 6 runs away from the 12,000 T20 run milestone, a feat he is expected to achieve in the upcoming IPL. Virat Kohli has played 359 T20 innings and has the best average (41.21) among the Top 10 batters on the list of highest T20-run getters.
