Indian cricketer Mayank Agarwal was under the weather today after he experienced some burning sensation in his throat. Just as when he sensed that his health condition got a bit complicated, he decided to get himself admitted to the hospital today in Agartala on January 30, Tuesday. Although it is common for cricketers to suffer an illness, incidents of players getting admitted to the ICU are not often and Mayank Agarwal’s admission to the ILJ hospital upset the cricket fraternity and the netizens have been sending speedy recovery wishes for the cricketer.
As per the reports, the Karnataka captain has been facing a flaring sensation in his mouth and throat, which forced the cricketer to rush to the hospital. Mayank who leads Karnataka in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 season was on the flight to Surat with his teammates. All of a sudden, he felt uneasiness before vomiting a couple of times. The report added that the cricketer vomited after drinking from a bottle.

However, the good news is that the Karnataka skipper is out of danger and is currently under observation. Reports added that the doctors ran necessary tests and further details are awaited. The 32-year-old is on the road to recovery after the tests and it might take just a few days for him to recuperate.
The veteran will be looking forward to joining the team once he is given the green light by the doctors to be discharged from the hospital. “The team was on the flight and apparently Agarwal started feeling uneasy and vomited a couple of times sitting on the flight. Since he started feeling sick, he de-boarded,” the statement read.

“From KSCA MR Shahvir Tarapore called and we quickly sent two of our representatives to the ILS hospital. He is under observation and we are told doctors are running some tests. Now there are multiple theories as to what he might have consumed,” news agency PTI quoted a Tripura Cricket Association official as saying.
