Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi is set to host the title match of the WPL 2024 season between Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The Meg Lanning-led Delhi team has been outstanding this season, winning 6 out of 8 league matches and securing a direct spot in the final. On the other hand, the RCB women won 4 league games and booked a berth in the final by beating the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator.
Arun Jaitley Stadium (previously known as Feroz Shah Kotla) has been hosting Women’s T20I matches since 2016. This year, the venue was selected alongside the Chinnaswamy Stadium to host WPL matches. It serves as a home ground for the Delhi Capitals, however, the other four teams in the league also received huge support from the crowd at this venue.
Delhi Capitals will play their second WPL final after their previous appearance in the 2023 final, where they faced defeat against Mumbai Indians. Last year as well, DC had secured a direct spot in the final by finishing at the top of the league stage. In this year’s final, they will face Smriti Mandhana’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both Delhi and RCB have been titleless in the IPL as well, and tonight, one of these sides will finally add a trophy to their cabinet.

Arun Jaitley Stadium Delhi Pitch Report for WPL 2024 Final
During WPL 2024, the pitch at Delhi’s stadium has been slow, favoring spinners. In the Eliminator game, RCB bowled 14 overs with spinners, indicating their effectiveness on this pitch. Scoring quickly against spinners has been tough throughout this WPL season. Out of 10 games played here, the team batting first has successfully defended their score in 7 instances. So, considering the records of Delhi Cricket Stadium in WPL 2024, batting first seems to be wise decision.
