In a video clip that has been widely circulated on social media channels, Bangladesh’s legendary cricketer, Shakib Al Hasan can be seen grabbing a fan by his neck when the latter tried to take a selfie with him. It is quite natural for the fans to get excited especially when they see their favourite stars right in front of them. The least that they do is either take selfie or get an autograph from them such that it etches in their memory forever.
However, not all fans are lucky enough to meet their idols. Some fans have crossed their limits, breached the security to meet their heroes on the ground and the clips of the same have gone viral as well. These kinds of incidents involving fans and their idols have become recurring trends in the cricket fraternity. However, Shakib’s behaviour towards a fan was something that was unexpected and it took the cricket fraternity by surprise.

As you can see in the video clip, Shakib Al Hasan can be seen involving in a deep discussion with two of his teammates. Meanwhile, one of the fans intervened and then asked the Bangladesh’s all-rounder for a seflie. The veteran politely refuses in the first place and the disappointed fan kept pestering him for a click, this time from a distance. It was when Shakib lost his cool and expressed outrageous behaviour towards the fan.

In an ugly turn of events, the senior cricketer can be seen trying to snatch the phone away and just as when the fan moves his phone away from Shakib, he then grabbed him behind the neck and asked him to get out of the ground. As per the reports, the incident took place on the sidelines of a Dhaka Premier League match. Meanwhile, the fans took to social media and condemned Shakib for trying to beat a fan and few of them questioned the cricketer for not showing some love on the fan.
