The 86th edition of the Ranji Trophy is currently at its final stages. The two semi-finals of the ongoing season have been commenced from 29th February in Kolkata and Rajkot. And the final match has been scheduled on March 9 to March 13. Meanwhile, during the ongoing semi-final between Bengal and Karnataka at Eden Garden Kolkata. Bengal batsman Sudip Chatterjee received his share of luck after he survived despite getting out hit-wicket off Karnataka pacer Ronit More.
It all happened on the 30th over of the Bengal innings when Sudip went on the back foot to flick the ball towards fine leg. The batsman was trying to use the depth of the crease, however, unfortunately, ended up in hitting the stumps and dislodging the bails. After this, umpires attempted to watch the replay saw them noticing that More had overstepped.

So Far Summary of the Match
Earlier in the match, after winning the toss Karnataka opted to bowl first at Eden Garden in Kolkata. Meanwhile, in the first innings, Bengal managed to score 312 before getting all out thanks to Anustup Majumdar 149 runs off 207 balls. In the reply, Karnataka could manage to score only 122 at the end of the first innings and hence trailed by 190 runs before the start of the second innings.
Thereafter in the second innings, Bengal team bundled out on the score of 161. Sudip Chatterjee was the top scorer from Bengal team in the second innings as he scored 45 off 94 balls. And hence they have set a target of 352 in front of the Karnataka. In the reply, at the end of Day 3, Karnataka team’s score was 98-3. And now they need to score another 254 runs to win the match and Bengal need to take 7 wickets more.
