Hence when he asked for leaving the tournament mid-way to support his wife in the World Cup Final, the permission granted.
Mitchell Starc travelled all over from South Africa to Melbourne Cricket Ground to support his wife in the ICC World Cup Final 2020. His journey of 10,000 km was worthwhile, as Alyssa Healy played a brilliant knock of 75 in the final match and helped the team in clinching the trophy for the fifth time. She along with Beth Mooney added 115 runs for the first wicket.
Mitchell Starc after leaving the South Africa tour mid-way had already proved that how much he was excited to support his wife in the final match. Not only this but also she awarded with ‘Player of the Match’ for her knock of 75 off just 30 balls.

She found it extremely adorable and called it a goal of couple. However, she also mentioned that if this same happened in sub-continent then, in that case, he will be called a slave of his wife.
