Ever since former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced his unexpected and sudden retirement from international cricket, fellow cricketers and fans have been demanding for a farewell cum charity match. A former teammate of Dhoni, Irfan Pathan though had a different idea of sorts. Irfan Pathan has called for a farewell cum charity match and challenges current India team captained by Virat Kohli to it.

With the talks of a farewell game for MS Dhoni doing the rounds, former allrounder Irfan Pathan has called for a farewell game that’ll feature all retired cricketers against the current India team led by Virat Kohli. In a bid to lend the retired cricketers the much-needed recognition towards their contribution to Indian cricket, Pathan pitched for a farewell game that could also double up as a charity initiative.
Many people are talking about a farewell game for retired players who didn't get a proper send-off from the game. How about a charity cum farewell game from a team consisting of retired players vs the current Indian team? pic.twitter.com/diUiLXr9XQ

Pathan Gives Fitting Response
Irfan Pathan though was quite intent with his team views and gave a fitting response to the fan. Per Pathan, Sachin, and Saurav, both legends of the game had gone their much-deserved farewell games. It’s no choice the two can be left out of a farewell game. ‘It’s a foolish thought to even have the two left out’, expressed Pathan.
It’s for the players who didn’t got farewell otherwise only a fool will not have them in the squad
