While Aakash’s cricketing career at the international stage left much to be desired, the same can not be said about his second association with cricket. At present, Aakash Chopra is widely loved as a Hindi commentator and analyst. Currently, he’s a part of the elite commentating panel that is covering the ongoing T20 World Cup. Being the vocal character that he has always been, Aakash is once again donning the predictor’s hat; this time, to predict the finalists for the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Aakash Chopra’s prediction leaves the fans shocked

Born in Agra, Chopra is well-known to be a pro-India kind of commentator. Chopra’s bias towards his home country often comes to the fore when commentating. The Bharat Army appreciates him for the same. So, which action of his ended up surprising the fans? Well, it was his most recent tweet. “Eng vs Pak ?? final loading …… #T20WorldCup,” tweeted Aakash.

The majority of the Twitteratis were put off by Chopra’s prediction. One of India’s own rejecting India as one of the major title contenders didn’t go down well with the netizens. Regardless, logic supports Aakash Chopra’s prediction cent-per-cent.

Both England and Pakistan have played three group-stage games thus far. They have been unbeaten, winning every game they’ve featured in. Both sit pretty at the top of their respective group tables. And both have been ruthless in their ways.

It’s highly possible that England will top Group 1(their run-rate is going through the roof) and face the side which finishes 2nd in Group 2. Will Pakistan be that side? Pretty much NO. Pakistan’s next two games are against Namibia and Scotland. and both sides lack exposure to quality bowling. Even if Pakistan ends up losing one game, they will still top Group 2.

Australia or South Africa may finish 2nd in Group 1. This means they’ll probably face Pakistan in the semi-finals. England will face India/Afghanistan/NZ, whoever finishes 2nd in Group 1. None of the mentioned teams come close to the quality of Pakistan and England. Yes, upsets are part and parcel of the game. But they are a very rare commodity. If one such rare incident doesn’t take place in the semi-finals, England and Pakistan will be vying for World Cup Trophy come Sunday, November 14.
