Former South African captain AB de Villiers had come up with a huge prediction regarding the T20 World Cup final just before the semifinal games.
AB de Villiers had predicted that India and New Zealand will play the final of the mega T20 World Cup and Team India will lift the trophy.
However, both of his knockout calls went wrong as neither India nor New Zealand won in the semifinal games.
AB de Villiers trolls himself for his shocking prediction
The India vs England game went completely one-sided in the favor of the English side. Even before the England Team chased down India’s total, AB de Villiers took to Twitter and wrote, “Well on my way to get both knockout calls wrong shocker! In the famous words of Zaheer Khan, “it’s a funny old game this”! Well, especially t20’s. But, it’s not over until it’s over.”

On the other hand, Pakistan defeated New Zealand in another one-sided game on Wednesday by 7 wickets. Eventually, the former Proteas captain found himself in a hilarious situation as the teams backed by him for the final didn’t even came close to victory and hence AB de Villiers shared a funny tweet about his own predictions.
Team India India played against England in the semifinal of the mega ICC event and were clearly declared as favorites. The English side also faced a couple of injury issues as their trump card Mark Wood and Dawid Malan were not available for today’s game. Despite not playing with their full-strength side, England went on to register a clinical performance as they registered a 10-wicket victory over Men in Blue and hardly left any stone unturned.

Team India were quite slow at the beginning of the innings as they managed to score just 62-2 at the end of 10 overs. Virat Kohli did manage to anchor the innings while Hardik Pandya went on to play a stellar knock of 63 runs off just 33 balls and took India to a respectable total of 168 runs. However, the English opening pair of Buttler and Hales came all guns blazing as they didn’t allow any Indian bowler to settle and chased down India’s total in mere 16 overs.
