Shadab Khan led the Pakistan side as Babar Azam has been rested for the T20I series against Afghanistan considering workload management. Shadab opted to bat first after winning the toss. However, Pakistan’s batters badly struggled against Afghanistan spinners right from the word go.

Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah came in to bat just in the 14th over as Pakistan were placed at a score of 65-7. Naseem Shah who’s known to contribute well with the bat in the lower order eventually lost his wicket in a bizarre manner.

During the 16th over of Pakistan innings bowled by Mohammad Nabi, Naseem Shah tried to heave across the line. The ball wasn’t quite in his range and went on to hit his stomach. Naseem lost control of his bat swing and eventually castled his own stumps.

Afghanistan Cricket Board shared the video of the hilarious dismissal on their official Twitter handle with the caption “@MohammadNabi007 Strikes again – Naseem Shahdeparts  Naseem swung hard but lost his balance in the process as he’s gone back to hit his stumps.”

After the dismissal of Naseem Shah Pakistan were placed at 71-8 at the end of 16 overs. By the end of 20 overs, the Pakistan team could only score 92 runs at the loss of 9 wickets.

Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Fazalhaq Farooqi grabbed a couple of wickets each to reduce the Pakistan side to a below-par total. All-rounder Imad Wasim was the highest run-getter as he scored 18 runs.
