This trend has also become increasingly common in Indian cricket in recent years.
Recently, news of divorces involving some star Indian cricketers has come to light. Last year, Hardik Pandya ended his four-year marriage with Natasa Stankovic. This year, reports of Yuzvendra Chahal’s divorce from Dhanashree Verma are making headlines. Interestingly, the wives of these cricketers are often connected to the entertainment industry. For instance, Pandya’s ex-wife, Natasa, is a Serbian model and dancer, while Dhanashree Verma is a dancer and choreographer who is venturing into the film industry.
Manish Pandey Heading for Divorce with Ashrita Shetty, Reports
Amidst this, another star Indian cricketer, Manish Pandey, is also making headlines for reports of his divorce. Pandey, who married Tamil actress Ashrita Shetty in 2019, is reportedly no longer together with her. Recent reports suggest that the two have separated, as they have unfollowed each other on Instagram and deleted the photos they had uploaded together.
It is confirmed that Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty were together at least until August 2023. When the Manish Pandey-led Hubli Tigers won the KSCA Maharaja Trophy in August 2023, his wife shared photos on social media with him. According to reports, the couple separated in early 2024, though it is unclear whether they have officially filed for divorce yet.
Both Manish Pandey and Ashrita Shetty had shared several photos together on their Instagram handles, and till June 2024, they deleted all those pictures. Now, if you check their Instagram profiles, you won’t find any photos of them together. The media had not paid much attention to their separation at the time, but after the rumors of divorce between Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma, reports about Manish Pandey’s divorce are gaining more traction.

Ashrita Shetty began her acting career in 2012 with a Tulu-language film named Telikeda Bolli. After that, she appeared in three Tamil films: Udhayam NH4 (2013), Oru Kanniyum Moonu Kalavaanikalum (2014), and Indrajith (2017). Following her marriage to Manish Pandey in 2019, she stepped away from her acting career. However, she has signed a Tamil film titled Naan Thaan Siva, though the release date is unknown.
