Former India player and the present coach of Bengal Ranji team Arun Lal has recently tied the knot for the second time with 38-year-old Bulbul Saha. Arun Lal, 66, has married his long-time girlfriend Bulbul with the consent of his first wife Reena as well.
However, many eyebrows were raised on social media as the former cricketer married Bulbul, who is 28 years younger than him, and they questioned the Bengal coach. He got married in a private ceremony where some selected guests were present, including the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Sourav Ganguly.
The 66-year-old also interacted with the media after marrying Bulbul Saha and the couple answered a few questions too as well. “I am very happy. This is another special moment in my life. I love Bulbul a lot and we will be a happy couple all our lives,” Arun Lal was quoted as saying by Zee News.
However, when the cricketer was asked about his honeymoon plans, he gave a witty response that left all media persons present at the venue in splits as well. Answering the question, Arun Lal said, “Ranji Trophy is our honeymoon.”
Notably, Bengal qualified for the Ranji Trophy knockouts and they are all set to play against Jharkhand in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The quarterfinal will take place from June 4 to 8 at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru and it seems Bulbul will also travel with Arun Lal as he joins back with the Bengal squad soon as well.
The veteran had parted ways with his first wife Reena with mutual consent but despite the divorce, he decided to live with his first wife, who is battling a medical condition currently. According to a News 18 Bengali report, Arun Lal has been taking care of his first wife and he has also taken her consent to marry his current partner Bulbul.
