‘Australia Agrees’ – Usman Khawaja trolls Kapil Dev for his advice of dropping Virat Kohli from T20Is

While a majority of the fans are supporting Virat Kohli in his lean patch, there is a section which is now starting to raise their voice for Kohli’s removal from the T20Is. Part of the Fab 4, Virat Kohli has not been in the best of form and has not scored a century in any format for almost three years now. The Indian cricket veteran Kapil Dev recently called for Kohli’s removal from the T20I squad and now Usman Khawaja trolls the Indian legend.

Virat Kohli has been a pillar of strength for the Indian team across formats but his poor run in all the formats has been an issue of concern for the team. Though the team management has backed the former Indian captain, there is a section that thinks Kohli should be given a break from the T20I squad and one of them is Kapil Dev who shared his views recently on ABP News. Australian batsman Usman Khawaja trolls Kapil Dev for the remarks he made on Kohli’s place in the T20I squad.

In the third T20I match against England, Kohli’s stay on the crease lasted only for 6 deliveries, but the two shots that he played during his short inning spoke volumes of the batsman’s caliber. Considering Kohli’s record in the shortest format of the game, Usman Khawaja trolls Kapil Dev who suggested the Indian team to drop Kohli from the side and give youngsters a chance to display their skills in the format.

Commenting on a post by ICC on their Instagram handle, Usman Khawaja trolls Kapil Dev hilariously as he shares Kohli’s average and strike rate in T20Is and then writes ‘Australia Agrees’. This just shows how important Virat Kohli is for the Indian team and even the opposition knows the value of the batsman who has served team India in the best way possible. Even Rohit Sharma backed Kohli in a post-match press conference after the third T20I against England.
