The Rajasthan Royals batsman, Riyan Parag, has finally opened up on his verbal exchange with RCB bowlers Harshal Patel and Siraj. The right-hander clarified what actually happened between the players after the match. The incident happened after the first innings of the 39th Match of IPL 2022. While the players were going off the field, Riyan Parag and the two RCB bowlers were seen having a fiery verbal exchange.

Riyan Parag, after playing a crucial inning for Rajasthan, was walking back to the pavilion after finishing the innings with an 18-run over. While he was returning, Siraj was seen saying something to the batsman, listening to which Riyan turned back and exchanged a few words pointing towards Harshal Patel. Meanwhile, Harshal Patel, who had bowled the last over rushed towards Riyan and as did Siraj. The three players then had a heated exchange of words while the other players tried to prevent it to go any further. The video of the incident went viral on social media.

During one of his Rooter streams, Riyan Parag opened up with his fans regarding the incident with the RCB bowlers. He told his fans that he made a gesture towards Harshal Patel after hitting him for runs as a reply to what the bowler did after dismissing him in the previous season. However, it was Mohammed Siraj who initiated the verbal spat after the innings got completed. Parag said during his stream that Siraj called him and asked him in a provoking way to behave for his age. Riyan mentioned that Siraj unnecessarily called him and initiated the infamous verbal spat.

Talking about the match, Riyan Parag had helped the Rajasthan side to post a competitive total of 144 runs against RCB. While chasing the seemingly low total, the RCB batters couldn’t get going and the side suffered a batting collapse. The Sanju Samson-led side defeated RCB by 29 runs in the end. Riyan was adjudged as the ‘Player of the match for his match-winning 31-ball 56 not out.

Riyan Parag also went on to speak about his run-out in the first Qualifier where Ashwin denied the single. Parag said that Ashwin denying the single would have been justifiable with a tail-ender but not with Parag himself on the opposite end. He then clarified that his reaction towards Ashwin after that run-out was just a result of shock. After the match Ashwin went on to apologize to him, Parag said.
