Bangladesh is hosting India for a three-match ODI series with the first two ODIs to be played in Dhaka and the third ODI in Chattogram.

Team India after losing the toss was invited to bat first on a tricky Dhaka pitch which looked full of moisture.

Litton Das grabs a stunner to get rid of Virat Kohli

Team India was looking for a steady start against Bangladesh in their home conditions but it wasn’t the case as the Men in Blue lost the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan in the sixth over and then the eleventh over bowled by experienced Shakib Al Hasan pushed India way back in the game as they lost both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the same over.

Bangladesh’s experienced spinner Shakib Al Hasan bowled a flighted delivery outside off stump. Virat Kohli got deceived with the pace and flight of the delivery as he played a half-hearted shot and couldn’t time the ball properly. The ball was in air for quite some time as Bangladesh skipper Litton Das tried reaching the ball as he had placed himself in the cover region.

Litton Das went with both hands and eventually, the ball got stuck in his right hand as he completed an outrageous catch to dismiss the modern master Virat Kohli. It’s worth noting that just before this delivery Shreyas Iyer had hinted Kohli about the drift Shakib Al Hasan was getting. The experienced spinner showed some presence of mind and changed the plan on the next ball and bowled a loopy outside-off delivery. Here’s video of the catch.

Shakib had also got rid of India’s skipper Rohit Sharma on the second delivery of the same over. Rohit was looking for some spin while Shakib bowled an angling-in delivery. Rohit played outside the line to defend but missed the ball as it kept on coming in with the arm and eventually dislodged the leg-stump.
