Pakistan opener Abid Ali’s heartwarming gesture during the lunch break of the ongoing Test match against Bangladesh is garnering him praise from every corner of the world. In a video shared by Pakistan cricket on Twitter, Abid was feeding a hungry cat on the stairs of the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.

While his teammates went inside a room during the break, Abid took a plate and fed the cat with shredded chicken. The 34-year-old batsman is earning the fans’ hearts with his heartening act.

Sharing the video on Twitter, the official handle of Pakistan cricket captioned it as “It is not only the players who are taking lunch.” With over 7100 likes and 950 retweets, the video has gone viral.

Shifting the focus towards the Test match, all we can say is that it is set for a thrilling finish. Although, rain washed out three and a half days of play and the Test match almost moved towards a draw.

Both the captains could have easily shaken each other’s hands but the herculean effort of Pakistan brought a dead game alive and brought back the interest of the fans, which lacked earlier.

Pakistan declared their first innings at a score of 300. Their bowlers displayed a magical performance and bundled out Bangladesh for just 87 runs. The visitors enforced the follow-on.

As of now, 13 overs are left in the Test match with the hosts still trailing by 13 runs and having two wickets in hand. As the game is in its final stage, every result barring a Bangladesh win is possible.
