Bellerive Oval pitch report

The race for the 2022 T20WC Super 12 is getting tighter with every passing day. Especially in Group B, no team is safe despite just two games remaining in the qualifying stage. These two matches will be held at Bellerive Oval in Hobart, the pitch report for which is shared here.

Ireland and West Indies will go up against each other first on October 21, followed by Group-mates Scotland and Zimbabwe competing for a spot in the Super 12 stage of the T20 WC later in the evening.

Interestingly, both games do or die for all four teams involved and the winners will make it to the next round.

Situated in: Hobart, Tasmania.

The pitch report of Bellerive Oval being concerned, it is a batting-friendly deck and has often been host to high-scoring matches. There’s no special assistance for the bowlers apart from the trademark Aussie bounce.

Nonetheless, the spinners and medium pacers can use the big side boundary to their advantage in middle overs. Expected is a belter of the pitch unless there’s too much rain.

Bellerive Oval Ground Records and Weather Forecast

Hobart’s October 21 weather forecast sadly points at substantial rainfall. If any of the fixtures is washed out, the Net Run Rate (NRR) will come into play and WI (vs Ireland) and Scotland (vs ZIM) will progress ahead from their respective games.

The temperature on Game Day will range between 9°C (9 degrees Celsius) and 17°C.

The other important facet that matters aside from Bellerive Oval, Hobart’s pitch report is the past T20I records at the ground. They’re briefly discussed hereon.
